  • Hi Eddy!

Greetings from GMA7 News & Public Affairs!

We are “BORN TO BE WILD,” the Philippines’ pioneer nature and wildlife documentary series. The show is broadcast in over 90 countries worldwide through GMA Pinoy TV, and airs every Sunday at 9:30 AM on GMA-7 with local replays on weekdays and through the web. Since 2007, BORN TO BE WILD has travelled across the country and the globe to film and showcase biodiversity—from newly discovered species to the critically endangered. Our top-rating program has also received recognition for Most Outstanding Biodiversity Reportage and Advocacy from the ASEAN Champions of Biodiversity and has been awarded in the New York Festivals (Nature and Wildlife Category).

My team travelled to Puerto Princesa a few weeks ago to film at the Cleopatra’s Needle for three days. The team was able to obtain footage of leopard cats, porcupines, otters and the extremely elusive mongooses with the help of camera traps.

Knowing that mongooses are very hard to document in the wild, I came across your department’s photo of a short-tailed mongoose (×225.jpg). With this, we are seeking for your permission to allow us to air the said photo for a few seconds and waive any fees for its usage.

Rest assured that we will credit the image to your name as the image airs.

Allowing us to use your photo would be great help in raising awareness on our biodiversity and encourage conservation of our earth’s wildlife.

Thank you very much and hoping for your most favourable response!
